{"id":1858,"date":"2026-04-01T13:55:12","date_gmt":"2026-04-01T13:55:12","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/onesystemcrm.com\/help\/?post_type=docs&#038;p=1858"},"modified":"2026-04-01T13:55:12","modified_gmt":"2026-04-01T13:55:12","password":"","slug":"how-to-authorize-card-payments-using-the-old-website-builder","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/onesystemcrm.com\/help\/Supports\/how-to-authorize-card-payments-using-the-old-website-builder\/","title":{"rendered":"How to authorize card payments using the old Website builder"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2 id=\"How-Authorization-works:\" class=\"tdfocus-1671102810310\" dir=\"ltr\" data-identifyelement=\"491\"><strong data-identifyelement=\"580\">How Authorization works:<\/strong><\/h2>\n<ul class=\"tdfocus-1671118037591\" data-identifyelement=\"503\">\n<li class=\"tdfocus-1671103346915\" dir=\"ltr\" data-identifyelement=\"504\">This is\u00a0<strong data-identifyelement=\"585\">not\u00a0<\/strong>turned on\u00a0<span data-identifyelement=\"586\">by default<\/span>\u00a0 and will require a couple of quick extra steps, covered below<\/li>\n<li data-identifyelement=\"509\">The system will remove the monetary value placed in the &#8220;authorized amount&#8221; from the client&#8217;s bank account before crediting it back later.<\/li>\n<li data-identifyelement=\"514\">If the account does not have the funds during the authorization process, they will not be allowed to continue to the next step.<\/li>\n<li data-identifyelement=\"517\">Upon authorization approval, the system will credit back the account for the amount used to authorize.<\/li>\n<li class=\"tdfocus-1671103363581\" data-identifyelement=\"520\">If you have any &#8220;<strong>Trial days<\/strong>&#8221; attached to the plan, those will kick in as soon as the card is authorized.<\/li>\n<li data-identifyelement=\"523\">Funds may take up to 5 business days before being returned to the client&#8217;s bank account<\/li>\n<li class=\"tdfocus-1671103357972\" data-identifyelement=\"526\">It<strong data-identifyelement=\"587\">\u00a0ONLY\u00a0<\/strong>works with\u00a0<u data-identifyelement=\"588\">Subscriptions and Payment\u00a0<\/u>plans.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"tdfocus-1671102853773\" dir=\"ltr\" data-identifyelement=\"527\"><strong data-identifyelement=\"586\">Please Note:\u00a0 <\/strong>If you would like to authorize payment before purchase for all your plans, this process will need to be repeated for each plan attached to the payment form.<\/p>\n<p class=\"tdfocus-1671102886638\" dir=\"ltr\" data-identifyelement=\"485\"><strong>1. If the funds are unavailable they will not be able to proceed. <br data-identifyelement=\"1031\" \/>In this example: The system will take &#8220;$1&#8221; out of the clients account and then refund the &#8220;$1&#8221; back. The refund process may take up to 5 business days before returning the amount taken.
